Ok, so I know it’s been about two weeks since I’ve updated the blog. It’s amazing how busy one can get. Life tends to get in the way of life sometimes. That and not having internet access at home! Lol
I guess this will be a quickie (ok, 99% of you reading this need to get your minds out of the gutter!!) because I know there are pressing questions on your mind….did he hear from Lowes? Did he start doing drugs so he can be hired at Lowes?
Not surprisingly I have not heard from Lowes. I was not expecting a phone call but I was expecting the thanks but no thanks post card. Well I’ve not gotten the post card. Apparently I’m not even worthy of the two cent post card and 30-whatever cents it costs to send it out. So I’m thinking maybe I should start drugs so I can better answer their questions should I get called back for an interview or if I decide to apply for something else with them. Sheesh, the things I gotta do.
Ok, so the pics on the blog. This happened last week. Most of the rivers freeze over during the winter. Some freeze solid, others just freeze several inches or more down, some still have open water all winter despite the -45 temps. At one end of town there are several hotels on the banks of the Chena River. During the winter, they make an “ice bridge” across the river. Fancy wording for plowing a path across the frozen river so you can drive across. Well, at times the river isn’t so frozen. The pics are of a car who attempted to drive across and
