I'm so excited, I got to get my kayak in the water yesterday! I just went on a short kayak trip with Missy and Em on the Chena River through Fairbanks. It was awesome! I love the kayak!! I can't wait to get out in it some more. I'd love to kayak the Yukon River from Dawson City in the Yukon Territory to Eagle, AK. Of course my dream trip will be through Glacier Bay....sigh, someday.
I went with Kirk to his cabin today. Well, almost to his cabin. There is still standing water out there and we couldn't make it all the way. It's absolutely insane how much flooding there was out there.
I tried posting a pic from kayaking and as requested a pic of the hand tram across the river from my hike the other day. However, I am experiencing technical difficulties and can't post them tonight. I'll post them later. And that reminds me, thank you for the comments! I love them! I'm shocked that people outside of my circle of friends are reading this and actually finding it somewhat interesting. I never would have guessed! It is inspiring me to post more often. Oh, I appreciate the concern over the toilet seat in the outhouse. I'll get it worked out.
